Tribe games: when nobody wants to do it, fate decides
The Wheel, remote rock paper scissors and polls on The Wall, your tribe's chat. For chores, meals and every question that goes round in circles. Android and iOS.
« It's not my turn. » « I did it yesterday. » « Pizza or sushi? » Ten minutes of negotiating for two minutes of washing-up, and it's always the same person who gives in. In Zoku, you don't negotiate any more: you draw lots, and the result lands straight on the task, the meal plan or The Wall.
Why let fate decide
Chores aren't the problem. The problem is the time it takes to decide who does them.
Who takes the bins out? Who clears the table? Same debate every night. One spin of the wheel and it's settled in four seconds.
Whoever gives in first ends up doing everything. Fair mode rebalances it: the less you do, the bigger your slice of the wheel. A real weight off the mental load of whoever does it all.
The wheel picks a recipe from the tribe's collection to fill the empty slot in the meal plan.
A poll on The Wall, votes everyone can see, a decision. No more 40 messages to pick a restaurant.
The Wheel: one spin and it's sorted
Any member can launch the Wheel from their phone, in front of everyone. It spins, slows down, stops: « Lea's on it! »
« Who's doing the dishes? » The wheel picks the person, you confirm, the task is assigned to them and they get the notification.
An empty slot in the weekly plan? The wheel draws a recipe from the tribe's recipe collection. Tonight, the wheel decides.
Any question: « Who's walking the dog? » between members, or « Pizza, sushi or burger? » with 2 to 12 options you type yourself.
The whole tribe is ticked by default. You untick whoever's away, or yourself if you're refereeing.
The less you do, the bigger your slice of the wheel. Slice sizes are visible on the wheel: nobody can cry conspiracy.
The result can be posted on The Wall, so the whole tribe knows who's on it.
Spinning again straight away costs nothing: only the first spin counts as a draw.
Remote rock paper scissors: may the best one win
Not all in the same room? Everyone plays on their own phone. The loser gets the task.
- 1Start the duelOn a task or a « Who? » question on The Wall. Pick the players and how long they have to play: 15 min, 1 h or 4 h.
- 2The players get a notification« Your turn! » Everyone picks rock, paper or scissors. Your move stays secret until everyone has played.
- 3The revealThe moves are turned over. The losers play again among themselves until only one is left.
- 4The loser inherits the choreThe task is assigned to them automatically (for a question on The Wall, the result is posted there). Anyone who doesn't play in time gets it by default. After 3 ties, fate decides.
May the best one win (the right to do nothing).
The live rock paper scissors challenge on The Wall
No chore at stake, just your honour. You post a challenge on The Wall, the first member of the tribe to accept plays you live, round by round. The Wall shows the winner.
- First come, first served. Only one opponent: everyone after that is too late.
- Live. One-minute rounds, with a countdown to the second.
- Just for fun. 3 challenges a day per tribe for free, unlimited with Premium.
- Nobody? If nobody accepts the challenge within 10 minutes, it expires.
Polls on The Wall: everyone votes, everyone sees
For decisions where everyone gets a say: Saturday's restaurant, the holiday destination, tonight's film.
One answer or several: you choose when you create the poll.
In 1 hour, 1 day, 3 days, or no limit.
Everyone sees who voted for what. No secret ballot, no « I didn't see it ».
You can change your mind for 5 minutes after voting, then your vote is locked.
When the poll ends, the result goes out as a notification.
Polls are free for everyone, with no limit.

FAQ - Zoku's tribe games
Are the tribe games free?
Yes. Every tribe gets 10 draws a month (Wheel and rock paper scissors combined) and 3 rock paper scissors challenges a day on The Wall. Polls are free and unlimited for everyone. Premium makes draws and challenges unlimited, for the whole tribe.
What happens if someone doesn't play rock paper scissors?
The duel has a deadline: 15 minutes, 1 hour or 4 hours, chosen by whoever starts it. Anyone who hasn't played in time gets the job by default. If several people missed it, fate picks between them.
And if it's a tie?
You play again. After 3 ties in a row, Zoku draws lots among the players still in the game. Nobody gets stuck in an endless rock paper scissors.
How does the wheel's fair mode work?
On a task, your slice of the wheel gets bigger the fewer tasks you currently have: the less you do, the more likely you are to be picked. Slice sizes are visible on the wheel, so nobody can cry conspiracy.
Can I change my vote in a poll?
Yes, for 5 minutes after your first vote. After that it's locked. Votes are public: everyone sees who voted for what.
Does everyone need the latest version of Zoku?
For rock paper scissors, yes: a member whose app is out of date sits out until they update. The Wheel, on the other hand, spins on the phone of whoever launches it.
